*​CHERAB IS ON THE VERGE OF A MIGHTY TRANSFORMATION: HON. GOLLE ABGUDO IS FIT TO TAKE CHERAB TO THE PROVERBIAL LAND OF MILK AND HONEY*

Cherab ward has been left bleeding from years of neglect from the leaders they elected to improve their livelihood and socio-economic status.
Development is an alien word in the context of Cherab ward so far as previous regimes are concerned.

The good pple of cherab have been let down by the leaders they elected to see to their welfare in the new dispensation that promises a ground breaking development for the area which faces many challenges from youth unemployment,poor health facilities,poor state of feeder roads, poor quality of education, gender inequality in resource and job allocation and poor investment in youth in areas of sports and arts  as a result,many youth have fallen into the deep abbyss of drug abuse!
in the forthcoming 8/8 elections, *Golle* stands tall among her opponents including the incumbent.

She has an intractable resume that none of those purporting to vie for the very important seat can challenge. she has a sterling work record in both the civil society and the public sector.
She has been an exemplary leader in all the ventures she has been engaged in.

*​BRIEF RESUMÉ OF MCA GOLLE ABGUDO​*

Hon.Golle Duba commenced her studies in Marti Primary School from where she joined st.Theresa's High School-Wamba. After excelling in her 'O' levels, She  proceeded St.Theresa's nursing College-Wamba where she received her diploma in nursing.
After working as a nurse in several places including cherab, she enrolled for a course as Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse in Nakuru.
Her thirst for education
was not quenched yet so she enrolled for a higher diploma in Psychiatric nursing at Mathari.
She later enrolled for a degree course in Psychological Nursing at Mount Kenya University-Thika main campus from which she graduated excelling remarkably.
Hon Golle is currently undertaking a masters degree in Health systems management at the same institution.
throughout her sterling career,she has undertaken several short courses in management, public leadership and several different disciplines.

For eight(8) years She dedicated her time and energy to the service of the  people working with Action Aid - Merti Rural Devt area which encompasses both the Cherab and Charri zones;an area then ravaged by drought,illiteracy,human/animal diseases,poor infrastructure and lack of the very basic needs such as food,shelter and clothing. In conjunction with action-aid, madam Golle as she is fondly known to the pple of Cherab worked tirelessly to reduce the effects of the above adversities to manageable levels up until the International NGO Action Aid pulled out of the area.

During this time, many would remember her for transversing the expansive Cherab plains with her Suzuki motorcycle,this was a time when few(if any) men could ride on a motor cycle. *Empowerment of women comes naturally to Hon.Golle.She is 'it'.*
She later joined the public service and has been working with the Ministry of Health for 15 years in various capacities.

Hon. Golle has been to China on an exposure tour for six(6) weeks whose focus was on Health/technology and micro enterprise with respect to health sector gaining massive experience which she has sought to adopt for the benefit of the pple of cherab and Isiolo county at large.
she also attended an entrepreneurship course in Tanzania.
To cap it all, she took 3-week exposure/factfinding mission with regards to Monitoring and Evaluation-This will come in handy as she now possesses the requisite experience to monitor and evaluate the projects sponsored by the county government.
None of her opponents meets even a fifth of the academic prowess and invaluable experience that this 'decorated' lady has amassed over years of painstaking effort and struggle. She has beat all odds along the way to emerge victorious and stands as the redeemer of Cherab Ward!!!

*A PARADIGM SHIFT IN MATTERS YOUTH AND WOMEN*

When we met Hon.Golle recently as her campaign volunteers, I posed it to her (pointblank-as is usual for me) what she had in store for the youth and women who are obviously the most neglected yet important sector of the society,Golle surprised me with a seemingly deep understanding of the plight of the youth and women;from the drug abuse that has our youth in vice-like grips,unemployment, maternal issues,girl-child issues,domestic violence,insecurities,water problems and more.
She went about smoothly and soberly showcasing ways to reverse this otherwise disturbing trends in a point by point manner suggesting options such as sports,recreation centres,community engagement and a proper municipal framework to enable for an efficient working system at  the ward level that can accommodate all stakeholders in the efficient running of Cherab ward! You could see the lady was immensely excited about changing the lives of the youth for the better.She is pained by the plight of our women folk as she has grown up in the same adversaries that her folks are undergoing to this day!

I have no doubt in my mind that once elected,hon Golle would focus on the youth and women with a different tenacity and can greatly help hordes of our youth that are currently languishing in hopelessness!

*HON GOLLE* is the best placed person to spearhead the transformation of Cherab into a social and economic powerhouse of Isiolo County.
