Hi Isiolo People!
Today, I wish to bring to your attention a matter of solemn concern. I always find it a great pleasure to highlight the issues that are of concern to our people.
The plight of Isiolo County residents have been unfortunate ever since the current regime took the office. Devolution that has improved the lives of people in other counties has not been felt in Isiolo. The poor have died poorer while few politically-correct individuals are left to enrich themselves with goodies that should have uplifted the face of our county and improve the living standards of the good people of Isiolo.
It's sad how their appetite for money has been proven insatiable. Its like a bottomless pit that gobbles everything that drips in it!
Back to the issue at hand, Just like any other county in Kenya and more specifically Northern Kenya are affected by the beating drought, Isiolo has not been spared!
Many people have lost their lives due to hunger in parts of Isiolo especially in Sericho, Ngaremara, Merti and Oldonyiro wards.
The matter has attracted the attention of National Government which has taken the initiative and distributed relief food to the area. We thank Jubilee Government for this.
Sad as it were, the county mandarins saw this as a good opportunity to siphon our county funds.
About three to four weeks ago, the county Government led by Governor Godana Doyo, embarked on a new Journey to milk our coffers dry, in the name of distribution of relief food as a way of drought mitigation.
It is in public domain that the governor was unable to hold his rally due to lack of campaign finance after he was deserted by his cartel friends whose pockets he has been 'oiling' since he rose to power . The Governor had to postpone the much hyped rally more than 6 times as his agents(call them devil's agents) were fast-tracking the payment of monies which was supposedly meant for distribution of emergency relief food.
The first lady, whose appetite for money can not be equated to anyone's led the process of instructing all the chief officers to contribute to the 'Campaign finance' kitty which was disguised as Relief funds.
A whopping 80 M was raised through this.
None of these had gone through the county assembly-an institution that decides on how county funds should be used-a clear legal misstep that none seem to care about!
The fraudulent and yet unfortunate Man-eating scheme by the very leader elected to serve people's interest, and unashamedly seeking return- was all done in a snap!
The county 'friendly' ward administrators were used to Sign the deliveries of the relief food that NEVER was-no ward have received any relief in form of food from the County government!
The monies raised from the grand heist are the same ones that was used for facilitation of Doyo's campaign activities that has noticeably gone a notch higher for the last few weeks.
Let me break it down for you regarding what our money has done for the county bosses' campaign!
The following amenities are hired,bought or constructed by funds stolen from us-:
*A heavy commercial vehicle(Banjuka) (that supposedly cost a whopping 2.5M to hire it out for a month) which Doyo has hired till august election and beyond using the money that belongs to the people of Isiolo.Fanya hesabu Yako!
*The 'Clueless' fellow then used an unknown amount to hire a bevy of top-of-the-range vehicles at an unknown cost in a show of empty grandiose and power-that clearly lacks from his frail,almost feminine voice!-the man is incredibly timid and naïve!
*He has also been on money-splashing spree openly giving handouts a case in point where his supporters fought and brought commotion at the Dullos Hotel after the 250K that the governor gave to be shared among his supporters!
*Another show of his excess is the 'shrine' that he and his supporters call 'dtt centre'-whatever it is that this was set-up for- A man who couldn't construct a single ECD classroom has the gall to set-up a gory centre beautified with the peoples money so that the governors supporters and hangers on can dance throughout the night denying people a decent slumber! Many a complains have resulted from this including from parents whose school-going children have greatly suffered while the security organs in the area turned a blind eye to it despite clear legal ramifications in the constitution about how a public officer or any other citizen should conduct themselves at night.
The governor in all his wisdom,couldn't see the real perils he was exposing his supporters to, who could have been mugged or any other harm that may come from conducting such sensitive activities as campaigns at night!
I would not like to dwell on the nitty-gritties of all these and the actual amount that has gone into facilititate each and every one of these 'private projects'.
This is what made Doyo' s recent rally successful.
It beats logic, that the same Governor who has supervised over wanton misappropriation of public funds for the last 4 years, is still stealing from the poor to finance his campaign-what is most unsettling here is that these are monies meant to feed the starving masses in Isiolo- One would have thought that, it is an opportune time for the lame duck Governor to at least initiate one or two projects for his campaign and PR stunt.
The same man is still seeking his second term on the guise of Borantiti , we wonder where this borantiti was, at the time he was looting left,back,right and centre and in conspiracy with cartels from within and without the county-who care less about borantiti so long as their bank accounts are flooding with our money!
Talking of Borantiti, does Doyo remember that time that he publicly declared himself a Birkaya-a Gurreh clan-the governor even had alibis for that(his being a birkaya-laughable,isn't it) he capped it all in his fake proverbial antics saying, "you jaldhess taan,Quri tahuu malan;Yoyuh Garri taate, Birkaya tahu malan".
We cannot begin to imagine the amount these cartels have swindled from our county!
It is a time for the people of Isiolo to speak with one voice and reject such pitiable leadership that is devoid of an iota of humanity and any shred of tenderness for the suffering masses read current drought situation.
Each and every Isiolo voter should make it a solemn priority to vote Doyo out on August 8th 2017!
